PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY ELM ELBOW CHAIRS CIRCA 1890.
GOOD QUALITY PAIR OF ENGLISH ELM ELBOW ARMCHAIRS, EACH STAMPED WITH A CROWN ON THE BACK OF EACH SEAT, INDICATING A POSSIBLE ROYAL COUNTRY HOUSE CONNECTION.
SHAPED BACKS WITH TURNED SPINDLE SUPPORTS WHICH HOLD THE SHEPHERDS CROOK ARMS IN PLACE. EACH RAISED ON 4 TURNED LEGS WITH FURTHER TURNED STRETCHERS. EVIDENCE OF BEING PREVIOUSLY PAINTED.
KEPT IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, MINOR SURFACE MARKS AND FADING. STRONG AND STURDY AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
