19TH CENTURY INLAID ROUND SORRENTO TABLE CIRCA 1890.
GOOD QUALITY CIRCULAR ITALIAN SORRENTO OCCASIONAL TABLE, FEATURING A MOUNTED FIGURE SLAYING A MYTHICAL ANIMAL, QUITE POSSIBLY GEORGE AND THE DRAGON. CIRCULAR TOP WITH THE MAIN INLAID CENTER PIECE SURROUNDED BY INLAID CIRCULAR GEOMETRIC DESIGN. RAISED ON A TURNED STEM WITH FURTHER INLAY AND STANDING ON 3 BRACKET LEGS.
FITTED WITH A SINGLE SHALLOW DRAWER.
EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS TO TOP SURFACE. WOOD SHRINKAGE AND TO BASE, WHICH IS NORMAL FOR PIECES OF THIS AGE AND TYPE. IDEAL LAMP OR OCCASIONAL TABLE.
