19TH CENTURY FRENCH INLAID MAHOGANY 6-DRAWER INLAID CHEST, CIRCA 1830.
EARLY 19TH CENTURY INLAID FRENCH MAHOGANY 6-DRAWER CHEST WITH INLAID TURNED COLUMNS. PROFUSELY INLAID ON ALL SURFACES WITH FOLIAGE, BIRDS AND BUTTERFLIES. LATER HANDLES, AS THIS WOULD HAVE ALWAYS OPENED ON THE KEY.
TOP OVER-SAILING DRAWER WITH SALT AND PEPPER INLAID CORNICE. BEAUTIFULLY MATCHED INLAID DRAWER FRONTS, FURTHER FULL LENGTH INLAY TO BOTH SIDES. STANDING ON 4 BLOCK FEET.
TOP SURFACE IS MADE OF OAK WHICH WOULD OF ORIGINALLY HAD A PIECE OF MARBLE ON THE TOP, WHICH IS NO LONGER PRESENT, BUT THE OAK SURFACE HAS A POLISHED FINISH.
STUNNING PIECE AND IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION, FULLY RESTORED AND RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP. EXPECTED OLD SURFACE MARKS AND VERY MINOR LOSSES.
