19TH CENTURY CARVED OAK MIRRORED SIDEBOARD OF GRAND PROPORTIONS, CIRCA 1860.
HERE WE PRESENT A PROFUSELY CARVED BUFFET COMPRISING OF 4 SECTIONS. 2 PEDESTALS, TOP SURFACE AND MIRROR.
MIRROR WITH SHAPED CORNICE, CARVED FIGURES AND FOLIAGE. TOP SURFACE WITH CARVED EDGE, BELOW WHICH ARE 3 DRAWERS DECORATED WITH CARVED GROTESQUES AND CARVED BIRDS ACTING AS HANDLES. EACH PEDESTAL DOOR DECORATED WITH APPLIED CARVING AND FIELDED PANEL. DRAWER SLIDE TO THE LEFT AND A SHELF AND DRAWER TO THE RIGHT, WHICH SHOWS EVIDENCE OF BEING LINED FOR USE AS A CELLARETTE . EACH STANDING ON A PLINTH BASE.
MINOR EXPECTED SURFACE FADING, LOSSES TO CARVING. LATER REPLACED PLATE MIRROR.
